1. Data Controller

The data controller is the operator of the Cestiq app, available at cestiq.cz.

2. Data We Collect

• Login credentials: email, name, and user identifier (when signing in via Google, Apple, or email). Used for account identification and data sync across devices.
• Study statistics: correct and incorrect answer counts, test history, flagged questions, study material progress. Used to display progress and personalise recommendations.
• Device identifier: anonymous identifier for local statistics without sign-in.
• Technical data: display preferences (dark mode, font size, language).

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Location
• Contacts, photos, or files
• Analytics or advertising data
• Data from other apps

4. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

• Sign in and manage your account
• Store and synchronise study progress
• Display personalised recommendations
• Connect with a driving school (if you use a school QR code)

5. Where Data Is Stored

Data is stored in the Google Firebase cloud (EU servers). Local data is stored directly on your device (SQLite, SharedPreferences).

6. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third parties except:

• Google Firebase: infrastructure for authentication and data storage (GDPR compliant).
• Your driving school: if you connect via QR code, the instructor can see your progress (name, test results).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data
• Correct inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all data (in account settings within the app)
• Export your data

8. Security

All communication is via HTTPS only. Data access is protected by Firebase Security Rules. We do not store passwords — authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.

9. Children

The app is designed for users aged 15+ (driving licence applicants). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

10. Policy Changes

We will notify you of significant changes within the app. The current version of this policy is always available on this page.
